A young figure who is progressing in the nomination exchange for Chairman of the Surakarta Kadin, Ferry Indrianto emphasized that the domestic industry must follow modern ways to market their products, namely through the E-Catalog.
“Classic ways can still be done. However, to reach a wider market, especially in the digital era, like now, IKM and MSMEs need to join the E-Catalog,” said Ferry when talking with media crews to seek input, Monday (14/11/2022).
Ferry said domestic consumers, especially those from large consortiums to the government, were looking for products through the E-Catalog. This makes the country flooded with foreign products because many products are included in the E-Catalog.
“To enter the E-Catalog, you must meet the specified requirements. There is a standard. So that the products included in the E-Catalog are truly standardized,” said Ferry.
However, continued Ferry, many SMEs and SMEs are not aware of the importance of the E-Catalog and find it difficult to fulfill the requirements so they are lazy to take care of it.
“This is the role of Kadin. Later it must help and accompany IKM and UMKm to be able to enter the E-Catalog. Because every year the potential of IDR 800 trillion per year is in the E-Catalog. It would be a shame if that potential was just wasted,” said the father of three children.
