Diablo 4’s huge pre-season update re-balances classes and makes the endgame even more deadly

Diablo 4’s latest patch is out now and it’s a doozy, introducing new unique items, fixing dozens of bugs, and re-balancing every class with stat increases and decreases. These changes came just a few days before the launch of the action-RPG’s first season and battle pass. …

Diablo 4’s most played class so far is arguably its worst

Earlier today, Mr. Diablo at Blizzard Rod Fergusson tweeted what the most played class was in Diablo 4 so far. To my great surprise, it wasn’t the Rogue, which is currently sitting at the top of our tier list. Rather, it’s the Sorcerer, which currently sits at the bottom of our class rankings. Presumably, everyone loves watching ice shards and lightning bolts leave their fingertips. So, is the majority of Diablo 4’s player-base wrong, or are we? Feel free to come defend your spell-slinger in the comments. …

Replace *all* of your HDDs with this massive 8TB Samsung 870 Qvo SSD

Samsung’s 870 Qvo SSD is one of the best options for high-capacity solid state storage, with a simple 2.5-inch form factor that doesn’t take up a valuable M.2 or PCIe slot and a fast-enough SATA connection. While performance is good, at up to 550MB/s for reads and a little less for writes, the real benefit here is having up to 8TB of silent, reliable and low latency storage. You can currently pick up this RPS-recommended gaming SSD in its ultimate 8TB form for less than £415 from two places in the UK: Tech Next Day, where you can use code…

What’s better: petting the dog, or entering cyberspace?

With your help, I’m trying to answer the biggest question: what’s the best thing in video games? With a new wholly sensitive face-off each week, we’ll surely soon discover the single absolute best thing. Last time, you decided (by an overwhelming majority) that healing harming the undead is better than voice chat. I cannot say I’m surprised by this outcome, yet nor can I say I’m not wise thinking about how much I now hate a feature which had brought me so much joy across the years. Ah well. Onwards! This week, I ask you to choose between a simulated…

Ark: Survival Ascended will be sold without Ark 2 after backlash, but will still cost $60

The developers of Ark have revised their plans for the release of Ark: Survival Ascended, an Unreal Engine 5 enhanced edition of their dinosaur survival sim. It will now cost $60 rather than the previously planned $50, is no longer bundled together with ARK 2, and will instead include the remasters of Ark: Survival Evolved’s several expansions – although most won’t be available at launch. Studio Wildcard also went into more detail as to why this upgraded version is no longer a free update, and why they feel it’s necessary to shut down Ark: Survival Evolved’s official servers. …
