TECNO’s POVA 8 Pro 5G has gotten a unique makeover with the launch of the all-new POVA 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition. This collaboration was first introduced at MWC 2026 last March as a multi-year partnership between the two brands.
Design and Features
The limited edition model features a black-and-red color scheme inspired by Tonino Lamborghini, with a hexagonal pattern on the rear panel and a dual-layer construction that reflects light as the phone moves. The design extends to the software, with a customized black-and-red interface and a dedicated boot animation.
The phone’s design is recognizable as a POVA device, including its trinity camera module and side-mounted One-Tap Button for launching apps and shortcuts. It also features a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G SoC paired with TECNO’s own P1 Graphic Chip, which handles some of the GPU workload.
TECNO claims the phone can reach up to 144fps in supported games, and up to 90fps in heavier games like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. The phone’s 6.78-inch HyperLux 144Hz AMOLED display features a DCI-P3 wide color gamut and up to 4500 nits of peak brightness.
Gaming Performance
The phone is designed to be gaming-friendly, with a 240Hz touch sampling rate and instantaneous touch sampling of up to 2800Hz. It also features Wet & Oily Finger Touch Recognition 2.0, which keeps the screen responsive even when fingers are wet or oily.
The front display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and has quadruple IP69/69K/68/66 ratings, plus an SGS 5-Star Drop Resistance certification. The phone’s cooling system provides more than 22,000mm² of heat dissipation area, keeping the hardware from getting too hot.

One of the key aspects of this phone is its ability to balance performance and design, making it a unique offering in the market. The partnership between TECNO and Tonino Lamborghini brings a new level of sophistication to the POVA series.
Camera and Battery
The main camera uses Sony’s 1/1.56-inch LYTIA 700C sensor with OIS, which was chosen for better light capture and autofocus performance. The camera setup also supports 2× lossless zoom and a dedicated 50MP mode.
The phone has a slim form factor of just 7.39mm and packs a 6500mAh battery. The battery can operate normally between -20°C and 60°C and retain more than 80 percent of its capacity after 2000 full charge cycles.
TECNO’s latest operating system, high-performance features are also present, with AI features baked in such as All-Scenario Noise Cancellation. In select markets, they are also offering AI Health, which can estimate metrics like blood pressure and heart rate with a face scan.
They promise two major Android OS upgrades as well as three years worth of security updates. The phone runs the latest HiOS 16 based on Android 16.
